Pennsylvania Railroad F7 A-B-B-A Freight

Description
It's a long freight train with random cars. (you need the random train trailers mod to make it appear as such!!!)

The cars are assigned to particular cargoes:

- Food goes in refrigerator cars.
- Wood goes on flatcars.
- Logs go on flatcars.
- Coal goes in hoppers.
- Iron ore goes in smaller hoppers.
- Grain goes in covered hoppers.
- Oil and petrol go in tank cars.
- and general merchandise (Goods) goes in boxcars.

Finally you can see what's coming into your city and not have to guess what's in all those green containers, and puzzle over who in their right mind would containerize coal!

It will spawn with between 20 and 75 cars, with a cabin car if you're lucky. It sticks out of stations a lot -- plan your network accordingly.

Q: How is this different from your old F7A freight train?

A. It's bigger and longer and has higher resolution textures and custom sounds and particle effects.

Q: Why is the file size so big?

A:Well, because here's what you get:

- PRR F7A and F7B with custom horn and engine note.

- AAR 40' boxcar in the following paint schemes:

Atlantic Coast Line | Atchison, Topeka, & Santa Fe | Bangor & Aroostook | Chicago & Northwestern | Erie-Lackawanna | Florida East Coast | Gulf, Mobile, & Ohio | Great Northern | Louisville & Nashville | Norfolk & Western | New York Central | New York, New Haven, & Hartford | Penn Central | Pennsylvania Railroad | Reading | Seaboard Air Line | Southern Pacific | Southern Railway | Union Pacific | Virginian

- Pennsylvania Railroad flatcar with two loads.

- Tank car in Sinclair Oil, UTLX, and Hooker Chemical paint schemes.

- Covered hopper in PRR, Union Pacific, and ATSF schemes.

- 40' wooden refrigerator car in the following paint schemes:

Pennsylvania Railroad | Fruit Growers' Express | Pacific Fruit Express | Coors billboard | Land O' Lakes URTC billboard | Quiroga & Co. NRCX billboard

- H21 coal hopper in Penn Central, PRR, and N&W schemes

- G29 ore jenny in PRR and Penn Central schemes

- An N5C cabin car to bring up the rear.

Props coming soon!

Good morning! I know it's been a while since you released this asset, and it looks like you're mostly in Transport Fever these days, but did you have any plans to release prop versions of the rest of these cars? Thanks!

@Telling Me I Suck Doesn't Help I kept the acceleration really low since it's a long freight train. i admit it doesn't work very well on crowded networks as a result, though

I like the look of these trains, and I don't think I would have a problem with them being so long, but for some reason in my city they're moving INCREDIBLY slowly, and not at a constant pace either. They inch forward a litte bit, stop, crawl forward again, stop. This happens regardless of whether or not there's another train in front of it.

The only good act ever to come out of Eurovision, too.

about 6000 HP total, or about enough to win eurovision in 1974

Interesting configuration. Must be some serious power in those ABBA sets.
