After the Cylon war the colonies began to rebuild, some saw the quickest way to rebuild was to take resources from others and to this end they turned to the most isolated colony Sagittaron. This new wave of violence and oppression drove many of the normally peaceful colonists over the edge and they rallied behind the SFM to protect themselves. After driving the Colonial forces off-world, the SFM now renamed the SLF declared Sagittaron independant and quickly began establishing a millitary prescence to defend their home including designing new ships.
