Really Advanced Setup

Description
This mod includes all of the standard options normally found in the Advanced Setup screen. It also adds new features which allow you to modify game play significantly. Works with Brave New World and all earlier versions of the game.

To use the Really Advance Setup mod in your game first enable it then click "Next".
Then click "Single Player" then "Set Up Game" then "Advanced Setup".
Do not click "Back". That just causes you to exit the mod.

The following options are available.

Select Active Civilizations:
This allows you to determine which civilizations are active. Deactivate the civs that you don't want and they won't show up. Even when using randomly selected civilizations.

Starting Bias
Allows you to set starting bias for any player to: Start Along Ocean, Start Along River, Region Priority, or Region Avoid. The region biases allow you to select up to three regions such as grass, plains, hills, desert, tundra, jungle, forest, and hybrid.

Starting Bonuses
You can set the amount of Gold, Culture, Faith, and Free Techs that each player will start with.

Starting Units
You can individually control which units each player will receive to start the game.

Terrain, Features, Resources, and Natural Wonders
There are two methods available to add these items to the map. They can be placed relative to any player's starting location. They can also be scattered randomly across the map. There are numerous options available that allow you to place as many of these various items as you wish on the map. You set the guidelines when setting up the game. The items are then added automatically when the map is made.

Starting Visibility
You can increase the amount of the map that is visible when the game starts. This option applies to all players.

New Game Options
Disable Nuclear Weapons, No Science, No Policies, No Happiness, Always War, and Always Peace.

It might be a mod conflict. That would be easy to check out. If it's not that then there's a few other things to try.

You could try clearing the Civ5 cache.

Make sure you exit Civ 5.
Find the Civ 5 cache folder. Its location might vary slightly depending on what operating system you have. Mine is located at: "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache".
Delete the cache folder.
Restart Civ 5 in the usual fashion. Civ 5 will automatically recreate the cache when the game starts.
You will have to re-enable any mods that you wish to use. I recommend you just use this mod by itself for the first test after clearing the cache. Then add other mods later.

If that doesn't work. You could try deleting this mod's saved data -> "Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\ModUserData\GTAS_AdvancedSetupMod-15.db". Delete the file while the game is not running. Then the next time you play the game with this mod it will set everything back to their default values.

I did, The problem is specifically when trying to select what civ a player will have, I can select one or two, but after that even If I click on Alexander for example, the game won't show that civ as selected. you can click, but nothing happens. I assume its a mod conflict, but I am only using like 8 mods most of which are for utility. so I don't really know what would conflict.

Some thoughts about the player page that I posted earlier that might help you...

If you are talking about the number of players in a map. That is dependent on map type and map size. So, it varies depending on the settings and there is no single default.

You can add players using the "Add AI player" button at the bottom of the panel.

You can remove a player by clicking on the small x in the upper left corner of their panel.

The number of civs and city states are set back to their default level when you change the map type or size.

As a test try changing to a different map. Preferably one of the standard ones that came with the game.

having a weird error where I can't select civs to play against directly. If i try to directly pick more than a few the game literally won't fill in those boxes in the setup.

No problem with asking the question.

This mod doesn't support multi-player. As best as I can tell it's not possible due to the way the mod works.

Sorry if this question has already been answered but is there any way to do multi player with this mod?

The Rock of Gibraltar was not included because it has graphic problems when added to the map after the map has already been created.

If I remember correctly. The Great Barrier Reef was also omitted for the same problem.

Both of these natural wonders can still show up in the usual manor via normal game play. But unfortunately you can't add them using this mod because they end up being invisible.

I don't see Rock of Gibraltar in the wonders section. Is that normal or am I just blind

ok, thanks for the help anyways!

I never used autoplay. So any problems are caused by my lack of knowledge on the subject. I never took it into account when making the mod. Sorry about that.

This is somewhat of a long shot. But you might want to try clearing the Civ5 just in case that helps...
