So ein Durst!
Basically, what you do is you make a charge gun that is instantly at full damage potential and where the "uncharged" look is the same as the "fully charged" one. But instead of making the firing animation a single frame with muzzleflash like the original Charge Gun uses, you make it multiple frames of the weapon cycling. The only problem that comes with this is the fact that the gun can be fired as fast as one can pull the trigger, which can lead to an immense dps, and that fully automatic firearms aren't possible (the gun fires not upon pulling the trigger, but instead when you release it).

Bolt is not animated, idk if it's even possible in vannila starbound.
