APEX Snatcher

SNATCHER is a high-altitude, small grid war machine designed to swoop down on its prey, quickly overpower it with 8-12 turrets and even grind it down with 4 built-in grinders! Ever since Apex Corporation lost their foothold on the surface of Mars, they have claimed the skies with these durable terror weapons.

No special instructions for this build, just some engineering notes:

The light reticle is unique. It is not projected, but created (I admit, accidentally at first) from shadows in the belly of Snatcher. There are 4 medium cargos for ammo and snatched goods you salvage with those grinders. Everything is super-duper connected and there are 2 oxygen generators for quick ice-to-hydrogen refueling on the surface.
Snatcher is able to float even without fuel.

There are 8 turrets, but you can replace 4 grinders with missile turrets for amazing firepower in such a small ship. The armor on the sides is good and composite, belly is layered but still somewhat weak.


Cruise at high altitude to conserve fuel. Locate your prey with the camera. Swoop down like a storm, then disable and grind down whatever you can snatch. Get back to safety.
