[Discontinued]Micro Merge

Description
I'm not working on mods anymore!
I've put out this information on my page a while ago, but I'm still getting comments asking for updates.
More info here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/argual/

1x1x1 Small Ship Mergeblock

If you have a problem (bug, etc):
Try going in your "%AppData%/Space Engineers/Mods" folder, and delete everything in it. That should make the game redownload the files next time you load a world with the mod. I can't deal with local problems, happening only to a handful of people. They are usually due to fault in the computer, game or mod files. The absolute first thing to do should not be asking to help, first try to figure out what could cause the issue.

Don't take this the wrong way, I'm just a bit tired of 5/10 bug reports being fixed by a simple redownload or game verification, and an additional 4 isn't even real, the user just misread something or forgot to add the mod.

TL;DR: When you find a problem, think, sit on it for 10 minutes at least, then act. Thanks!

Thanks for the mod, it works great ingame! One small issue is that the mod is over 50MB in size, because it contains a load of textures in 1277892289.sbm/Textures/Models/Advanced . Are those all needed?

I meant that they are not in critical positions, like removing them makes the ship explode and turn the thing into a clangfest. They are usually in places that can be easily accessed, you dont have to grind away 10 layers of the ship to get to them (you know, because they are used to glue parts of the ship together, so if they disappear you just put them back and u r done)

not in the middle as not buried inside a ship, thats how i draw the conclusion

@Argual - I'm wondering how you draw the conclusion "People don't usually put merge blocks in the middle of ships"- Most of their usefulness comes from the fact that they glue two parts together - making them essential to the "Middle of the ship" as they are infact being used as a "connection" between two objects. Basically the main use of merge blocks in general is not their "Advertised Function" of joining grids - but rather the fact that they can be used to both "Merge" and "Unmerge" Grids in the same block (otherwise why wouldn't you just build the new armor block in it's place :p)

I don't think you need explain yourself. Just ignore it.
Argual  [author] 7 Feb, 2018 @ 3:47pm
I was just pointing out the small mistake or implication you did. ("Better now than later" = "eventually it will be a must") But word plays aside, please don't make me explain things more times. I don't want to put up duplicate mods on the workshop. And yes, what you are asking would be a duplicate.

Also, to be honest im fairly certain that the time you spent here arguing and waiting for my answers is much longer than replacing the blocks by hand. I mean if you had like 20-30 ships, even then it is an hour tops. And i mean TOPS.

@Argual Its not a matter that you have to do it, its a matter if you could be kind and do it.

@Pepethecat: C:\Users\<Your Name>\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods
Look for "1517914059" Extract the file into its own directory in the mods folder.
Edit the cubeblocks.sbc and blockcategories.sbc (Both files might be named differently but similar) and edit these parts:

<TypeId>Whatever</TypeId>
<SubtypeId>Whatever</SubtypeId>
also

<BlockPairName>Whatever</BlockPairName>

Change those entries to corespond to the mod or block you wish to replace.

@Pepethecat
To do that I would need to change the subtype ID of my block to the one that the author of the other mod used. That would make the merge blocks disappear in everyone's world that uses this mod right now.

Also, why would I do it at any time? I mean its not like I have to do it. It only affects those who used the other mod, and they can go through the trouble of replacing a few blocks in their designs. Its not like their creations would break in half, usually u dont put merge blocks in the middle of ships. So technically it only affect very few people. Sorry :/
