ZG GSO Only [Missile] Drone

So you don't have Venture (or Hawkeye) at level 3 yet, for their advanced flight blocks, but you still want to be able to sit in the sky, raining down missiles, without using the hover bug... Enter this drone using only GSO parts!

It works, with lively controls, turning in the correct direction, but is a bit of hand full and will take some practice (see notes, below).

• Essentially the same control system as the "ChriiRock SkyFish", but stubbier and a little less capable, with no forwards facing fans.


► Notes:

• The Hover Steers (top and front) provide correct helicopter controls, without need for the 'hover-bug'.
• Turns quickly and stably with nose pointed down at about 45 degrees.
• Leans heavily into turns when level (enables roll correction by pitching back up to level, before turning).
• Do not try to turn when tipping backwards (you will fall out of the sky).
• Adding one Venture Gyro will make it handle very well, like a subdued helicopter.
• Light enough it doesn't loose parts when falling on it's head, or missile launchers, beneath.
• A little slow to catch itself from falls, so only feather the booster control briefly to descend.



► Campaign loading:

• Subscribe to this Workshop item, above.
• Go to Creative mode in TerraTech.
• Click the "Load" button (bottom left of screen) and find it in the "Workshop" tab.
• Remove any blocks from the tech that you don't yet have in your play-through.
• Re-snapshot the tech, so it will now be stored as a local snapshot with your own techs.
• Load as normal in Campaign.
