Description
And here is something that has been sitting in my folders for a couple months, already complete:
A 6-unit consits of Norfolk Souther's Triple Crown road railer service!

The original idea of the Road Railers was to streamline intermodal service by connecting the trailers directly using a modular wheel base for the rails. However, since the trails were taking the weight of the train on themselves, they had to be reinforced, which meant the Roadrailer trailers are much heavier than conventional semi trailers and twice as expensive to produce. There was a company in Germany who tried it as well, but it never took off over there for the same reasons.
Despite added weight and cost, the Triple Crown still runs today, however it's much less frequent and isn't a main express system anymore.

These semi trailers will work with a properly sized semi. Neither of my two will fit, however, and you must use the editor to remove the rear truck and make the tail lights work.
Consist is fully articulated, so not multiplayer for this thing.
1,798 pieces.

Pulled it with the Trackmobile for the screenshots. Untested with the VO-1000. Larger, more powerful mainline diesel coming soon! Keep an eye out!

Enjoy!

Of two trailers put together like this on a train?
Or do you mean on the road?
On the road, yes, at least in most countries. Austrailia runs as many as five trailers behind one semi tractor. But for the road-railer equipped trailers, in train mode they can have a lot, more coupled together.

You should see the real ones. Longest I've seen in a model was twenty six trailers. The longest I've seen on a real train was about 140 trailers
