Goldford - ANNO 1404 Scenario

Aye, and welcome to Goldford, a settlement that has been built by pioneers. What started small on this empty island, soon began to grow. Goldford became a village, an economy and above all, a nice place for guests to visit. People started to settle. They built houses, a chapel and a marketplace to trade goods. Not long after the developments in Goldford, an oriental island was claimed by the pioneers. Ships began to set sail on what now is a busy trading route. The prosperity attracted more and more people to Goldford. Investments hade to be made in order to keep up with the growing amount of residents. Even the construction of a city wall has started!

Now you become the mayor of Goldford. It is your job to keep the people in your town safe, happy and thrilled. If you succeed in doing that, you will see Goldford grow out into a true metropolis!

Just like the game ANNO 1404, your resources are limited, use them wisely. You have little area to build on, and expanding it is really expensive. With your limited amount of gold (cash), you will rely on the money you earn from the inhabitants of Goldford to build new coasters, rides and buildings. What is your strategy, Sir? Are you going to densely build on the main land, or are you going to take your chances in the Orient?

This Scenario's theme is based on one of my favourite games when i was younger, ANNO 1404. I've tried to match the style and capture the feeling of the game. Some buildings are accurate recreations of the orignal ones, some are interpretations. I hope you enjoy!

I might have done some more interesting terrain work, but that does not match the style of ANNO 1404. So therefore the islands are quite flat. (@Jonny5alive, i hope i don't lose too many points for that on the contest. At least you now know why i made the islands like they are)
