You'll be glad to know I'm back in the saddle though, with a whole heap of quality new content for you.

Welcome to EMGC

EMGC is the Enthusiastic Malleable Goods Condominium, a newly formed subsidiary of SAVTec Industries.
Named in honour of a certain Earth-based Software House, EMGC has but a single goal; to rebuild, rebalance & improve upon the ships of the KSH fleet, making them more practical, useful and fun in-game, while still retaining the original KSH style.

EMGC will eventually comprise 3 ranges of ships; the Respawn & Cargo ships, the Easy Start ships and the Campaign ships.

Where possible, all EMGC & SAVTec ships feature...
-Standardised air-tight docking rings with cargo transfer
-Pre-configured Button Panels & command station / cockpit hotbars
-Clean control panel with all items named, grouped & hidden where appropriate.
-All control panel items prefixed with the name of the ship for easy identification.
-Cameras forward & aft, docking cameras port & starboard, additional cameras as required.

The K-6 Advanced Mining Transport

The 6th in my EMGC Cargo Ships series, the Mining transport.

The original ship suffered from much the same problems as the rest of the Cargo Ships - it was cool looking but it never quite knew what it was.
Was it a cargo transport? A refinery? How was it supposed to be used? The odd shape left a lot of unanswerable questions.

With the new Advanced Mining Transport I've tried to answer them.
My take on the ship is a very simple "space tractor" - the 5th wheel prime mover of the cosmos, designed to tow things, like cargo modules or other ships.
As such, I've built it like a tractor. It has cargo capacity of its own but not much - just enough for tools & spares.

The thrusters were laid out a bit wierd, so I've reconfigured them to make it more obvious which direction is forward. This provides more towing power & less manouverability, which seems befitting.

The interior of the K-6 also has a very truck-esque feel, with the engine room & a small sleeper cabin for one accessible from the bridge (which now has a proper window so you can see where you're flying!)

The K-6 crews one & has potential to be refitted for 2.

She features...
-4 Small Reactors & 6 backup batteries
-Cryo & "day berthing" for one
-1 Small Cargo Container for tools & spares

Like I said, a very simple tractor.
