Tooooo long :D I'm so tired. Also, i think we cheated at the beginning - we didn't press the button on the wall that enables the bridge - we simply used beam from the platform to the left (on the wall) and jumped down next to the booster. This way we we still had the cube in hand - there was no need to use it to press button. If we tried to use the bridge then we didn't know how to retrieve the cube back from the button. Upvoted.

great map, took us ages to finish but had a lot of fun figuring out stuff. seems like there are a couple of puzzles stripped out at the top of the tower but still really good

What a huge map, way beyond the predecessors' difficulty and with lots of thinking outside the box, respektively thinking across all rooms.
I don't know what the other comments mean by a repositioning of the faith plate(?). It looks exactly like in the walkthrough... it's just too bad we also encountered the bug with a falsely activated plate. Additionally we skipped the part when it was supposed to be used for coming back, so it was confusing all along ;D
Thumbs up for this very convoluted and challenging map.

We weren't able to solve this in the time we allowed ourselves, and unfortunately no video solution can be found (so far) of how to solve it with the apparent modifications (faith plate reposition and ?). So a warning for anyone who tries to solve this in the future: if you fail like we did after several hours you may be frustrated by a lack of satisfactory resolution.

This map is amazing, just solved it with my friend. Took a bit less than 2 hours of reflexion and frustration, but damn it was fun !

i won't look the answer or the hint right now (complex map are way more fun), but thx for the help. We will try tommorow with the good understanding of the map with the laser. If it's solvable, then we'll try harder ;)

Thx again for letting us know about this glitch + solution/hint !

Btw, your maps are very very good, we looked so far to find some really cool maps. Yours are awesome ;)

Actually, that incident with the faith plate is a glitch. For some reason it's automatically on before being activated, when really it's supposed to work only when the laser is hitting the catcher. I would normally fix things like this, but I lost the map file and can no longer edit it. Just try to imagine that it's off to start with. As for the puzzle, yes it is solvable. I have a full demo solution that shows how to complete it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/i31722b0lfdsncw/confinement7.dem?dl=0 , but if you want to figure it out yourself, here's an optional hint: use momentum (no funnel) and the laser to get the cube off of the moving rail platform

Hi, a friend and me are completely stuck on this level. We cannot achieve to save the cube at the beginning when we took it with the flow to the button.

We try many things, and for the first time we didn't resolve the answer for this puzzle.
We could bring the laser but not the cube.

And then, we tried to brign the laser to the slot at the jumper, and it makes the jumper disabled, without any chance to use it any another time. Is it normal ?

So we decided to see a video from this map, and we figured that it was an old version with the jumper a little bit away to match the height for the flow and the cube.

By any chance, is there a way to complete just the part 1 (bottom of the map) with this up-to-date map ? Thx ;)

I do, i don't usually leave a map unless i absolutely don't see anything i can do in them after like a half hour. I have paitence and persistance, but its not endless, if I'm having such trouble in a chamber and I'm not even enjoying it, that's when i leave. I agree that the best chambers have a good about of difficulty and flow, I like a challange, but not a "how the fruit was i supposed to know that?" like with josepezdj's maps. :p

Well, it's good to know that at least a few people still find enjoyment in this series. These maps were made a long time ago, back when I wasn't as experienced. And although I'm still just as satisfied with each puzzle as before, there's probably a few things I would do differently today (like more lighting in the upper section). If you plan on playing the entire series, I'll just say right now that some of them are better than other thers. The main thing I was going for was difficulty, and sometimes that meant at the expense of elegance (the best ones contain a good amount of both). Anyway, good luck on the future maps. I hope you have a lot of patience. :P
