Description
My first map for Killing Floor! It's based on the Xbox 360 Game "Zombie Estate".

It's been recently updated after I got some helpful feedback from a new commentor. There were some collision issues over by the pond in which a player could end up trapped, so I put in some more blocking volumes and moved some of the boulders around.

The workshop version uses the game's default music. I will also be posting external download links for the map here - including the default music version and a version with a couple of custom music tracks. You'll have to remove the spaces after you copy them for the links to work.

Here is the version without custom music: http:// www. mediafire. com /file/1y9n0jn3l3ljmfc/KF-ZombieEstate-Final-v3.zip/file

@ Slader McDoogal It should be under the name Zombie Estate, however the Killing Floor 1 workshop is notoriously buggy and doesn't seem to download things half the time. I recommend using one of the manual download links in the description if it keeps giving you trouble. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Howdy! I'm unable to access the map as it doesn't show up in the map list, is it under another name?

I'll take a look at the pond area. I've always had difficulties with unreal Engines terrain tool, but maybe I can use some more meshes to smooth things out. Or some blocking volumes. :P

I'll see if I can spruce up the transition areas too :D My aesthetic tastes for Killing Floor is usually that I want everything to look gross and grungy and creepy but a little bit of pretty here and there can be nice too. :)

It's been a few years since I've touched the KF1 SDK so I might be a little slow but if I can improve things, I'll put out an updated version. I'm currently working on a map for Killing Floor 2, but since both you and Freya encouraged me to make more maps for KF1 I hope to do so sometime!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

You don't know how refreshing it is to see a sensible reaction to the poster - Sometimes I feel hopeless about the KF community, fearing that it's just dominated by hateful little children. Hearing that your friends found it funny gives me hope. :)

I'm glad the item pickups were helpful! I know running out of ammo can suck so I like to always put lots of it around -plus I feel it's a good way to keep players moving and encourage exploration.

Hey, we liked it and thought the poster was funny. :P Personal thoughts below

I think it has a nice setting and the layout in general is cool. The free chainsaw allows someone quick access to top tier weapons by wave 2 after selling it (quite generous lol), and I noticed there's a lot of armor and ammo spawns even on hell (again, generous :D). We found the fenced in campfire area a decent campsite for hell on earth, altho with all that armor laying around and the amount of space to run around the main building, I'd assume kiting would be much easier. The only issue we experienced was some buggy movement around the water/pond area next to the campfire area. And if I were to nitpick, the floor where it transitions from outside to inside where the doors are doesn't look too pretty, but I don't play this game expecting pretty so its w/e lol...anyway. Great map, had fun, well done and please make more! :D

Hope you find this helpful, friend :kodp_dragon:

@ Dragon...I suppose I responded prematurely, because I got the links working now. Thank you for your interest in my map, I hope you enjoy it! Please give me feedback if you have any.

@ Dragon Sorry about that. Steam is always fussy about links, and I haven't really gotten the hang of how to circumvent the link removal thing. But, to be more on topic, I sure do! Would you be okay with me messaging them to you?
