Last Man On Earth - Crescendos Fixed

Description
IMPORTANT NOTE: I have been informed that as of late 2020's "The Last Stand Update", the issues that this mod fixed no longer occur, making this mod no longer of any use. For those who used this mod in the past, I hope it helped during the time period that it was necessary! I'm leaving this page up for prosperity because I'm the nostalgic type. Here's to Valve and their embrace of fan-created content and fixes. =)

Original Description:

Fixes the "Dead Air", "Blood Harvest" and "Cold Stream" campaigns so common infected do not attack the player during certain crescendos in the Mutation: Last Man On Earth. Also until proven otherwise works on any other Community Campaign that suffers this problem too.

EDIT: As of 2020, on a recent playthrough on Last Man on Earth, I discovered that official campaigns do not seem to spawn common infected during crescendo events anymore. This could have been a freak occurance or the issue has been fixed at some point over the years without me knowing. This mod may still prove useful for community campaigns, however.

NOTE: Other Mutation/Game Mode related add-ons may clash with this one. AI Bot improvement add-ons reportedly also clash. Please disable clashing add-ons in the "Add-Ons" menu when using this add-on (they will be marked in red). You may need to restart your game for changes to take effect.

Minor paranoia due to flashbacks of the tragic times had on Last Man On Earth prior to this add-on are common. That is to say, if you hear Common Infected but never see them, it is totally you going crazy, and not the fact that this fix simply makes it so common infected cannot move (and therefore 90% of the time will quickly despawn due to not being able to reach you).

This add-on only affects the Mutation: Last Man On Earth, and will not alter other game modes while installed.

Even though TLS in 2020 fixed the hordes spawning, I like to keep this mod active for when I play custom maps on the mutation

i'm late to the party, but, did you ever further investigate your 2020 side note?
would it be worth considering keeping this around for customs?
and on another side note, is "Lone Gun Man" similar and could also benefit?

Thank you for letting me know! I'll leave the mod up for prosperity's sake but update the description.

.JezMM the crescendos are fixed. I just checked myself. But this mod helped me A LOT in the past. Thank you for this great mod!

It's possible, considering the sheer amount of things the update fixed. This mod is already no longer necessary for official campaigns, from my own experience.

Is this a obsolete mod after The Last Stand Update?

@StaleDoritos

Very strange. Just double checked mine and it's all as it should be for me. Try verifying game cache/reinstalling.

I've looked in my Mutations for it and it's just gone. And no, my default Mutation wasn't LMOE it was the one where you only get melee weapons and THAT one is gone too...

Last Man on Earth is built into the game. Select Mutation mode then "Change Mutation", and it will be under Single Player Mutations (though I'm 90% sure it is the default Mutation selected on startup anyway lol).
