I have just released the sequel/remake of this mod titled GreyLight.

GreyLight is similar to this mod, however much much larger. It includes spectral forms for every creature in skyrim, over 60 spells!

It also includes a new way to attain the spells. You myts hunt down the creature, capture its soul and then craft the tome at a unique crafting station.

Im sure we are all aware that vanilla familiars suck bad. However, it is my firm belief that even though they are pathetically weak, they look badass.

So i though it would be cool if the familiar had a bit more use to it. I wanted to really have a reason to summon those awesome looking companions. So I made a mod called Beastly Familiars. But then I thought, why stop at just wolves?


WOT IT DOES:

As the name sugests, Spectral Summons adds a variety of new summonables to the game, all of which are ghostlike spectres. There is a wide range of new spells for varying occasions. Some of which are quite early and low level, some mid-level, and many high level. However the real benefit of this mod is that many of the creatures summoned by your spells level up as you do, hence maintaining thier usefullness throughout all player levels.

Also, in addition to adding these new spells, this mod will also change the dual souls perk to a perk called 'Armies of Oblivion' which allows for the summoning of up to 50 creatures.


The details of the spells are as follows:

-All spells are in the conjuration school.
-All spells have a large range, with the base casting range being 100ft.
-All spells have a 1 minute base duration.
-All spells are one-handed and can be dual cast. Even the master level ones.
-All spells have a quick charge time of 0.2 seconds (as opposed to the usual 0.5 seconds) except the master level ones which take a full second to charge.


And now to the spells:


NOVICE LEVEL:

Summon Spectral Archer - Summons a skeleton archer to aid you in battle. They will level as you do making them usefull at any level.

Summon Spectral Warrior 1H - Summons a skeleton warrior who uses 1-handed weapons (and occasionally a shield) to aid you in battle. They will level as you do making them usefull at any level.

Summon Spectral Warrior 2H - Summons a skeleton warrior who uses 2-handed weapons to aid you in battle. They will level as you do making them usefull at any level.

Summon Spectral Skeever - Summons a spectral skeever. Has the same stas as an ordinary skeever.

Summon Spectral Slaughterfish - Summons a spectral slaughterfish. Has the same stats as the ordinary. I would suggest casting this into the water. It can swim on land if you cast it there, however it makes very little sense when you witness it.


APPRENTICE LEVEL:

Summon Spectral Horse - This will quickly become a favourite, It summons a horse for you to ride on wherever you are pointing it, however this horse has unlimited stamina and is two times as fast as a standard horse. Don't worry about your time running out, it will not de-spawn untill you get off it. Plus the extra speed is great for mounted combat! It can also do all the mountian climbing nonsense regular horses can, but faster! Also, the horse can now walk across water!


ADEPT LEVEL:

Summon Spectral Sabrecat: Summons a spectral sabrecat with the same stats as a snowy sabre cat. One of my favourites.

Summon Spectral Bear - Summons a spectral bear with the same stats as a snow bear.

Summon Spectral Rat - Summons a very small yet very quick rat that is quite weak in defence but deals high damage and is nasty in numbers.

Summon Spectral Spider - Similar to Summon Spectral Rat. Summons a very small yet very quick spider that is quite weak in defence but deals high damage and is nasty in numbers. Primarily uses spit attacks but sometimes uses mele.

Summon Spectral Zombie Dragon Baby - Summons a small, yet powerful spectral dragon skeleton. It breathes frost and occasionally flies.


EXPERT LEVEL:

Summon Spectral Mammoth - Summons a spectral mammoth with the same stats as the original.

Summons Spectral Dragon Priest - Summons a spectral dragon priest that flies around casting destruction spells and occasionally summoning storm atronachs.

Summon Spectral Rat Swarm - Summons three Spectral Rats.

Summon Spectral Spider Swarm - Summons three Spectral Spiders.


MASTER LEVEL:

Summon Spectral Rat Swarm - Summons ten Spectral Rats.

Summon Spectral Spider Swarm - Summons ten Spectral Spiders.

Summon Spectral Dragon Zombie - Summons a fully sized spectral dragon skeleton that breathes frost and occasionally flies.


SPECIAL SPELLS:

Summon Slaughter- Slaughter is a spectral wolf companion whose level is always the same as your own. He is summoned using a spell, however once he has taken enough damage or his time is finished he will not die as he de-summons like the rest of the summoned creatures, instead he will start fading as he walks away and then waits for you to summon him again (doesn't actually change anything, just thought it a nice sentiment that he never actually dies, just leaves). You can have only one of him summoned at any one time. He is the same size as an ice wolf exept he hits a little harder and moves a little faster.


WHERE TO GET:

All of these spells have been added to the levelled lists, so they should appear wherever conjuration tomes are normally sold like court wizards. They conjuration teacher at the college should have them all.

However if this doesn't work (or you are lazy) you can buy them all from the riverwood trader.


NOTES:

-If you have trouble casting one of the spells, make sure you actuakky have eniugh soace to do it in, especially with the mammoth and the dragon. Both of these summons require lots of space for them to fit.

-There is a small issue with the dragon priests leaving ash piles on death. These clean up however so it is not a huge deal but i will work on fixing this.

-The 'Swarm' and 'Plauge' spells cannot be used propperly untill the 'Armies of Oblivion' perk is obtained as the use of these spells will only spawn a single creature of each type otherwise.

-This mod doesn't require any DLC however is compatible with all. It will be compatible with all mods except possibly ones that change the conjuration level lists ore the riverwood trader items. However, load this mod last to get it to work.


POSSIBLE UPDATES:

- Moar summons!

- A new follower who uses the new spells.

- A new dungeon or playerhome (or both) where you can obtain the spells.

- A possible short quest (this will be pretty far down the track though).
