Description
The Capn's back!
================
Apologies to all my subscribers & followers for the deletion of my entire SE workshop a while ago.
You'll be glad to know I'm back in the saddle though, with a whole heap of quality new content for you.
I hope you enjoy it - and please be patient while I get it all published, as it's likely going to take a while.

Welcome to EMGC
===============
EMGC is the Enthusiastic Malleable Goods Condominium, a newly formed subsidiary of SAVTec Industries.
Named in honour of a certain Earth-based Software House, EMGC has but a single goal; to rebuild, rebalance & improve upon the ships of the KSH fleet, making them more practical, useful and fun in-game, while still retaining the original KSH style.

EMGC will eventually comprise 3 ranges of ships; the Respawn & Cargo ships, the Easy Start ships and the Campaign ships.

EMGC / SAVTec Build Mantra
==========================
100% vanilla
Survival, Exploration, Projector and 1st person friendly
Thruster Damage safe
No Scripts, Pistons or Rotors unless otherwise stated
Total ship-wide conveyor integration - always!

Where possible, all EMGC & SAVTec ships feature...
-Standardised air-tight docking rings with cargo transfer
-Pre-configured Button Panels & command station / cockpit hotbars
-Clean control panel with all items named, grouped & hidden where appropriate.
-All control panel items prefixed with the name of the ship for easy identification.
-Cameras forward & aft, docking cameras port & starboard, additional cameras as required.

The KR-P Advanced Escape Pod & Launcher
===================================
The final ship in this series (apologies for forgetting about it!) is the Respawn Escape Pod - now remade to actually be useful and not fugly!

The KR-P is a very simple small-grid ship designed to be launched from a large ship as an escape pod.
It can fly & manouver in space as well as is realistic for an escape pod and although it has no Hydrogen or Atmospheric Thrusters, it can safely land on a planet thanks to its built-in Parachute.

It features...
-2 Small Reactors
-2x Small Cargo Containers for emergency tools & supplies
-Oxygen Tank (no generator, so ration your Oxygen til you're rescued or safely in a planets atmosphere
-Air Intake for use in atmosphere
-Twin Spotlights for working on new contraptions when you land
-Twin Landing Gear to lock you in place on the surface
-Beacon to help your friends find you
-Parachute

Operation couldn't be simpler. Just hop in, make sure innertial dampeners are disengaged and press hotkey #1 to launch!

When you're at the desired speed press hotkey #2 to deactivate launch thrusters.
Hotkey #3 reactivates innertial dampeners (to keep all the controls on the number key line)
Hotkey #4 toggles spotlights on / off.
Hotkey #5 toggles Landing Gear lock.

The KR-P comes with its very own launcher - a simple demonstration model to give you an idea of the space required in your large ships. It has no hangar door - that's for you to build according to how your mother ship looks & is laid out.

Don't forget to fill up the Oxygen Tank & Reactors and add some backup tools BEFORE an emergency strikes or you could end up as space dust!

The Oxygen Tank and Reactors are both conveyored up to the stern connector. The twin Cargo Containers however are not - You'll have to add the parts & tools you want to carry manually. Sorry about that - I ran out of room for conveyor blocks!

Launch & Reset
============
Hotkey #1 only serves to launch the pod one time before its systems must be manually reset to their original states. This is due to the pods' connector being turned off at the same time as everything else is turned on - and to the Launch Thrusters being set to permanent overrride in order to launch the pod without additional player input.

If you want to recover the pod & reconnect it to its launching bay (or another connector), follow these easy steps...
1) Ensure the control panel group "Launch Thrusters" is turned OFF
2) Turn everything else ON - all of it
3) Dock the ship with your desired connector
4) Lock the connectors
(for best results when launching, give the pod a moment to settle fully on the launcher's connector before locking)
5) Turn off everything EXCEPT the connector

There is no need at any point to adjust the override settings for the Launch Thrusters, though if you'd prefer the pod to launch slower, the override can be reduced to your desired level.

The launcher bay requires zero input whatsoever from the player. The automated launch is controlled entirely by a single hotkey toggle from the pod's cockpit.
If you want to build your own launcher bay in one of your large ships, all that's required is a powered connector.

Next in the EMGC range
==================
Series #2 - the Easy Start ships... Big Red, Big Blue, all the stations & small ships.
Please be patient, as much of this is still under construction.

Feedback
========
Comments / questions / suggestions / constructive criticism all very welcome.
I've even been known to do the odd request-build from time to time, so if you have an idea, drop me a line. If I like it I may build it.

If you like this build & want to see more, please check out my workshop pages

Any time!
In case you're wondering what it does - when toggled on, your last Respawn Ship will despawn the next time you die & respawn in a new one.
When toggled off, every Respawn Ship you spawn in will continue to persist in the world.
Enjoy!

Toggled on. I'll toggle it off next time I play. Also, thanks!

@LordBrocktree4... A temporary ship you say?
In your world settings is the option "Delete Respawn Ships" toggled on or off?
If it's on then seeing that message is normal. If it's off you shouldn't see the message.
I know sometimes it'll pop up even when the option is toggled off - and sometimes it'll pop up for ships that aren't even Respawn Ships if at some point they've been merged to a Respawn Ship... those are old bugs with the game that just never got fixed. It's annoying at times but not much I can do to fix it I'm afraid.

I like the idea of using them as attack pods. With enough of them you could use them in a swarm to confuse enemy turrets.

The blueprint is a temporary ship. I'm attempting to use these in my ship in case the 3-5 layers of heavy armor are penetrated and the ship is critically damaged. I'm also attempting to convert them into small attack pods.

Thankyou again Korvalus! I know how you mean - much the same here. I love checking out peoples work but rarely use anything that's not my own. May she serve you well!

I actually might use this. Which is a huge complement because I rarely use other's designs.

Haha! Yes, yes it was! Thanks again for reminding me. Glad I did this one now - might have to incorporate it into... a certain large ship I'm curretnly working on... :steamhappy:
