The Swarm

Nobody knows or remembers who discovered the Swarm. Nobody even knows what it is. From what little we do know, we can determine this: it hungers.

The Swarm is a really small unplayable faction found fairly close to the center of the galaxy. Each ship is fairly weak on its own, but their strength is in their numbers and large amount of drones. They are intended to be similar to the Flies mechanics-wise, but on a larger scale and more difficult to boot.
