Description
X-co tech.

'Extraterrestrial Control organisation aka "X-Co" was first established on old Terra in the end of 20th century to combat the xeno threat that attempted to subdue and conquer the ancient humanity. These days X-Co is a professional mercenary organisation dealing with xeno criminals, pirates, rogue AIs and other similar threats.'



This organisation, as you may have probably already guessed, was inspired by XCOM. The original series, to be specific. However, not just the UFO 1: Enemy Unknown - all of the original series (including XCOM: Apocalypse) may have a specific reminder in the mod at some point.


Actors

X-Co actors are all organic units (read - humans). They are much like Ronin and are using randomly generated gear as well, but properties of the gear are all the same.

Trooper

A cheap unit wearing no armor or helmets. Dies to everything and does so fast! Best used as a gold digger or as a cheap combat unit if you experience issues with gold. Has slightly better view range and can jump higher due to being a lot lighter than other units. Has 16 head sprite variations that are being picked at random.

Armored Trooper

Backbone of X-Co field operations. Has armored torso and wears a protective helmet. Can resist moderate amounts of damage. Comes with 4 various helmets that differ only by sprites and same 16 head variations as basic Trooper.

Power Armor

Heavy unit clad in durable armor. Can take a lot of punishment to the head and torso before losing armor. Arms and legs are armored as well, but are much weaker than the rest of the body parts. PA is basically a walking turret and can`t really do much on rough terrain.

Weapons

X-Co weapons are based on what X-COM used in the original game (X-COM: UFO DEFENCE) - ballistic and laser weapons. A fair number of X-Co weapons have different fire modes or even ammo types for specific situations.

Ballistic weapons

XC-10 Tactical Pistol (fast firing, low power sidearm, has a copy that is used as a shield)
XC-14 Heavy Revolver (low-ammo, high power sidearm)
XC-53 PDW (low-power, high rate of fire compact rifle)
XC-551 Burst Rifle (cheap and accurate rifle, fires in bursts)
XC-552 Assault Rigle (advanced full-auto rifle that can fire bouncing grenades when needed)
XC-57 DMR (burst-fire sniper rifle)
XC-59 LAW (powerful machinegun)
XC-71 Autocannon (rate of fire is increasing while the gun is firing)

Launchers

XCB-1 Grenade Launcher (5-shot launcher that fires bounding grenades, has long reload time)
XCB-4 Heavy Cannon (powerful weapon that can launch explosive shells or inferno bombs)
XCML-6 Missile Launcher (fires three unguided rockets)

Lasers

XCL-3 Laser Handgun (infinite ammo sidearm, has a copy that can be dual wield)
XCL-5 Laser Beamgun (powerful rifle tht works both as an assault rifle and as a sniper gun)
XCL-7 Laser Siegegun (heavy weapon that can either fire focused blast or low-power bursts)

A fair warning!
Guns that have switchable ammo types/fire modes are equipped with a random magazine during actor creation. Be careful not to blast your troopers with heavy explosive shell inside the narrow corridor... Check what your troopers are currently using!

Not sure what that one means, but Xcom was highly influential in this mod`s creation. Weapons are much wider though and not 100% replicas at all.
