gm_Eckley_Herefordshire

First map of 2018, and it is back to using the TF2 Hammer!! This is a small village in a very rural county called Herefordshire, not to be confused with Hertfordshire near London, as Herefordshire is near to Wales....but the village of Eckley that is about 4 miles south of Hereford with a population of 350 people is a small delight in the county, near to the county town.

Some features of the village:
St Bartholomew's church - The small but medieval parish church of Eckley situated on the same site for over 900 years being a focal point to many generations of villagers. Inside the church contains a 2 manual pipe organ that can be played and 3 bells that can be rung out across the village, and the clock can be chimed.
The House - With it's black and white timber framed top, which is not uncommon in Herefordshire, you need to look at Weobley to see what I mean, it has pretty much everything you want.
The Pub - It is pretty much the centre of village life nowdays, and go in there for a drink!
St Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church - This was once the Methodist Church until it closed in 1970 but was bought by the Roman Catholic Church in 1972 and was converted for Catholic use, and has a congragation that still keeps it in use....and has a modern 1 manual pipe organ
