This is an updated version of the original stargate combat map i made in the early days of ns2.

I now give everyone permission to make modifications and reupload this map as long as it's different enough to be worthwhile and credit with a link to original is in the description.

Examples are different planet locations, mirrored sgc sides, an expanded version for standard ns2 and stuff like that.

I took some time tweaking everything so the gate and teleports work better. Theres also a little back corridor so bots work properly.

It would be great to see it on servers and thanks to Nin for bringing combat back to ns2!

2014 Version

This is the new version of ns2_co_stargate, due to a workshop issue i couldn't update the existing mod id which had around 3000 subscribers and was rated quite well, the balance has improved a lot since it was first relased, the new version includes more vents, cover and other improvements, it can even be used as a small standard ns2 map now that there are some extra tech points.

The map is based on the show not on any of the previous ns maps you may remember, there's always room for improvement and it will be updated every so often, the sgc and planet are connected by stargate and transport rings, the phasegate now needs welding to activate which should improve combat in the beginning, thanks to JimWest for making the teleport trigger and the extra entities mod. (Update: ExtraEntitiesMod is old and no longer needed! )

That's odd as it was working fine for a long time before. I've not had NS2 installed for ages so perhaps there's been some update that's made it an issue?

If you like anyone can upload another version to the workshop and even make full map changes. Just please give credit and link back to the original. Thanks.

This map will not download. I tried to get the mod files manually and I think I see the problem. There appears to be a file called .modinfo that appears twice in the root directory. This is likely the cause of the problem.

you did an awesome job on this map... I like it very much.
I m the creator of the Last Resistance Mod and wanna do some story maps for it so I wanna ask you if I can use your map to transform it into a objective based story map.... I will credit you offcourse in the readyroom etc....
So what do you think?

Wait but teleport is not an extra entity, it is built into the game.

It looks like combat hasn't updated properly to the new build so any maps that use extra entities like teleports etc won't work until it's fixed.
