[XM] Star Trek TNG - Locutus of Borg (Series 3 - #001)

Hey everyone, here is the newest Star Trek collection addition that will be first of several statues and scenery pieces that will all become part of the ST 50th Anniversary Collection separate from the 50 numbered ships, space stations and buildings already being presented. All these pieces are being created for the Star Trek Theme Park Adventure that I am building and carry a three digit number in the order in which they are released beginning with this one as 001 (homage to Battle of Sector 001). "I am Locutus of Borg. Resistance is futile. Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward, you will service us."

Locutus of Borg was the Borg designation forced upon Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard after his assimilation in late 2366. The Borg intended to use Picard as a spokesman for the Human race in order to facilitate the assimilation of Earth as efficient as possible. The Borg Queen was aboard the cube when Picard was transformed into Locutus. She had intentions for Picard to become her equal counterpart as explained in Star Trek: First Contact.

Picard's detailed information regarding Federation technology and strategy yielded the Borg a significant tactical advantage when Starfleet confronted the Borg cube at Wolf 359. However this proved to be a two-way access as well, when the crew of the Enterprise-D captured Locutus and used his link to disable and destroy the Borg vessel by sending the Borg cube a command to regenerate, which created a feedback loop destroying the cube while severing Picard's link to the Collective.
