V5
Added a selector BP (free) to people selling crossbows. Enables a campfire to craft (free also) the selectors for shuriken, chakram or kunai.

They are also available if you had one of default start (or if they were using the default research existing).

Updated with newest values.

Added arrows to vendors that were selling bows (thinking about Hub bar guy)

V4 : Added a specific workbench for these items (looks like the arrow bench).
No problem for ammunition crafting, but crossbow crafting being buggy, bows will both cost 1 iron plate, about the "selector" launchers (for chakram/shuri/kunai), you have to place one iron plate BUT you won't be charged for it. Hoping this will be fixed later.

Oh and also stuff is now available in crossbow vendor lists.

Now we have ranged, ever wanted to throw kunai and shuriken like a proper ninjutsu master ? Well, here it is (sort of).

The game doesn't manage throwing items, so you have to craft the "thrower" (there is one for kunai, one for shuriken). At crossbow bench.
This item has no weight to compensate, and no value as it's a placeholder.

Then you have to craft the "bolts" aka the real shuriken and kunai.
At the bolt bench of course :) .

To be able to craft all that, you have to research it (you"ll need to discover crossbow crafting before).

Shuriken are thrown by 3 and are less accurate than kunai (thrown only by one but higher damage and accuracy).
I tried to balance them, being not too weak nor strong. You won't cut limbs with them but you can take down unarmored pawn easily when skilled, and weaken the others.

This mod will be part of a much bigger mod later so I don't add these items in vendors/squads.

Friend, I slightly corrected your mod for myself. To make relatively correct, differences of vanilla crossbow and your bow. I want to post as a mod (with a link to the original). May I? I don't know FCS well yet, how to change the cost of arrows to x2? This will be correct... (Google)

Yup, totally on fcs limits ^^
That's also why to compensate you can craft the "weapon" anytime for free.
For animations it would make any crossbow use them. Unless we're someday able to add custom type of animations (would work for bows too )
You can't exactly pick a custom one for ranged as there is only one type of it

I'm only passing on this mod because I feel like we shouldn't "see" them when equipped. I imagine in my mind that there should be a throwing animation only and a projectile. Like - a shuriken or kunai would suddenly be in the air, not being carried around in someone's hand.

If there is a way, maybe try to change the animation from "crossbow" to "punch" or even an empty handed sword strike and lose the throwing weapon from the "being held" animation.

Again, I know FCS has limitations, so it may be the case that all "crossbows" have the same animation.

I think this breaks vanilla crossbow animation.

there are mods adding bow animation, but that causes compatibility issues (if not trouble with crossbows?)
So sometimes simple is better even if it looks clunky :D
