Description
This mod overrides some crucial files in order to make AIs to use the components, otherwise they won't use added components. See below "What this mod overrides".

There are NO ship weapons on this mod. They are available as a separate mod. Here is my weapon mod, called Advanced Weapons.

This mod is completely independent from vanilla mod, and you should not subscribe this mod and original Advanced Ship Components mod at the same time.

What this mod adds:

Right now this mod is quite basic, since the mount of work needed to be done for components has drastically increased due to Paradox's change on how those components work.

Still, if you use my Advanced Weapons, you may want to use this mod or any other component mods that give new components to further increase health (hull, armor, and/or shield) otherwise ships themselves will literally one-shot each other.

It is not just modded weapons: it is fully Paradox's intention to make all ships papers. So even with vanilla settings you may find the battle ends really, really quick. This mod can solve that problem if used alone as well.

This mod is still heavily developed and may be even more imbalanced than my other mods!

So, here are four stuffs added.

1) Shields : Yes, very strong shields that make your ship no longer a paper.... to certain extent.

2) Powered Armor : It is more expensive and uses even more power than shield, but this is the top defense component you can obtain. However, very high cost and power may want you to consider shields on smaller ships.

3) Reactors : Adds 7 additional reactors so you can power all of these advanced shields, powered armor and weapons no problem.

4) Aux Computer : An Aux computer that generally enhances the ship. Has three levels.


What this mod overrides:

-In order to make AIs to use upgrade, this mod has to override these vanilla files.
00_utilities.txt
00_utilities_reactors.txt
00_utilities_shields.txt

It also modifies these files from NSC.
nsc_reactors.txt
nsc_technologies.txt


If one of the files are overidden by other mods, it will stop function properly (for instance, if shields.txt is overridden, none of the shields from this mod will appear.)

Also, due to changes made by Paradox, the whole mechanism of ship components are very, very bad for any added ships by mods. This mod is exclusively modified for NSC, and without NSC enabled or using other mod, you WILL GET problems.

It turns out to be modding is very hard when I am confined with a crappy laptop while lying on a bed.

Unfortunately this will take some more time, hopefully I get better so I can use my main computer, but it seems I am not going to able to finish it today or tomorrow.

Seems to still work ok with NSC 2.2. Just a few bugs with the research and cost etc. Stuff to be expected.

Yes, I will try fix when the patch is released. Probably by end of this week or NSC finishes migration to the new patch.

Can't use it with some ship when unlock dackmatter reactor. Can't auto fit with the correct energy.

@dannyo862 : My bad, but real life is really grabbed me down for a while. I am just glad at least there is no major patch on horizon or ongoing at least. I can't promise time but I am doing as best as I can.
