Description

Details:

Adds powered "Protein extractors" (with lvl 3 research) to your game, which automatically extract ~1 kg Soylent Green from limbs over 24h. (late game research to increase speed subsequently up to 3 x).

Soylent Green can be eaten right away or cooked with regular food for increased nutritional values (more research necessary; also, late game powered automatic cooker researchable increased speed).

Also adds a large "raw soy storage" for limbs and a storage for Soylent Green. Don’t worry about refrigeration, spoilage will be removed by the extractor ;). Automatic collection works for the cookers/storage.

Also adds a Version of the skin peeler which produces minced meats and dismembers corpses (or not so dead victims), which can also be turned to Soylent green.

Mentionable: Legs have to be cooked in pairs, you need both "beans" for a balanced diet. Unluckily every species/ has to have their own cooker for arms (lA, rA) and legs (L). The drops were simplified (only 1 type of hiver legs/human legs drops now - END LIMB DISCRIMINATION NOW!). Dead hiver legs have a good dead look for severed legs anyway.


Known issue: Cooking automation for eatable items (Soylent green) does not work well. So, for now: high stack sizes to compensate/avoid manual grind. Automation for the meat grinder does not work well as well, as of now, since its basically the vanilla skin peeler).

I really adore this mod, I like all my mods but this one is my favorite-- thank you for it :cleanseal:

if I wanted to make a patch for dra'ak/ dark hive how would I go about doing that? Radiant hivers seem to drop normal hiver legs I noticed-- I'm thinking it might be easier to just make dra'ak drop normal shek limbs and dark hive drop normal hiver limbs than it would be to introduce a bunch of new soy types

Hi HeroinAction, thanks for your reply. Indeed, the doorway being blocked was solved by using ctrl+shift+F11, luckily. I also noticed you can still place new bodies in the machine, but it does build up. I still think this machine works better than the separate peeler mod.

I'm also not sure if the issue with the bodies becoming fixed objects is a problem of the mod, or simply a problem of how the game works. I think the creator of the game should also keep in mind that modding is a big part of this game, and they could make changes to allow for things like the peeler to work better. Anyway, I hope you manage to find out what's causing this. Thanks for this fun mod, despite this issue it's fun to be able to feed my crew Soylent :)

just made a clean test - yes the body cant be removed anymore. it drops in the machine-model and while it can be looted, the r-click menu only works for the machine. That seems to have changed. At least you can put a new body in and usually bodies used to despawn after a while, but i can see that that is annoying. Especially since, due to another bug, the bodies are dropped from the machine during loading. :cosmoglitch:
maybe i change some things long term

The other two things i could not find with some testing - the collision sizes stay small for me and all machines stayed visible. Likely this is a general kenshi problem or with another mod.

Alright, so it seems that when the body is left in the bean processor until it's finished, it bugs out and the body gets stuck in the machine. It cannot be removed anymore. I have tried to dismantle the machine but the body just floats there and cannot be removed anymore. There are a few more issues, maybe the latest version of Kenshi broke something? Also one time when adding limbs into the soylent machines, all of a sudden everything disappeared. And since I installed the machines from this mod, I cannot enter my house anymore. These seems to be an invisible wall in my doorway.

It's been a while and i'm not sure about prices, but: there were 2 types of crafting (independent of what kind of building your using its a building functionality) - one is refining eg. stones to building material and one is crafting with the menu eg. for weapons

thanks ive been able to make some soylent and mince :)

do you know if its possible for a building function of cage (like your bean mixer) to accept a different game item in, and to give a different game item out?

(ive been having ideas for a small mod, and another modder is helping me with more info but then i had an idea maybe using cages can work better?)

hi can i check which category the Protein extractors appear in please?

i managed to build one earlier in my game, but have added a lot of mods too and can not seem to find it in the Build mode screen :)
