The city of Matera[en.wikipedia.org] in Southern Italy has been designated European Capital of Culture 2019 and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

This is a completely reworked version of my early 2015 map. It features realistic elevation, three access roads and two railroads (one is still unfinished in real life).

I strongly suggest using "Traffic Manager: President Edition" to fix interchanges (prevent left turns on two-lane highways).

The 81 tiles mod is also advised, but the map should work fine without as well.

Please remember to download all required assets and the combination of theme and LUT (you can use the collection link to subscribe everything at once).
I thank all the authors of those assets for their great work!
And please share screenshots of your cities made with this map!

Ah, Matera with a rail connection - shame they couldn't manage that irl for Matera 2020! :)

Cool, thank you, Vitus! I'm not too familiar with the area, so I wasn't aware with the reasoning, but it makes perfect sense. Enjoyable nonetheless! Thank you again. :steamhappy:

There is no airport nearby, so I didn't include a plane connection. But you can easily add one in the map editor. There is also a mod which allows to add one in a saved game, just search on the workshop (I don't remember the name)

This map is really nice, Vitus! Great work! But I have a question, why is there no plane connection? No airport nearby?
