Take Cross Country service 1M00, the 19:42 Glasgow Central to Birmingham New Street service from Newcastle down to York. Due to the failure of a Transpennine Express service, you will have to call additionally at Northallerton and Thirsk, as well as the normal stops of Durham, Darlington and of course York.
