Description
This Mod enables a hidden mode in Surviving Mars, automaticlly converting Surplus Power into additional Research (presumably be overclocking the Colony sensors and mainframes).

The Mod converts 2 points of Surplus Power into 1 additional Point of Research, the effects of which can be seen at the top-right of the Research screen. This conversion rate has been intentionally balanced to add a nice additional feature without becoming game-breaking. Note that Surplus Power will be diverted to Accumulators before being used for Research.

If the Breakthrough with a (much) higher Excess Power conversion rate is later discovered, the two effetcs will be combined. The Mod only effects new games started with it enabled. It will not effect previously saved games.

This mod currently works very nicely and I appreciate the toned down bump, BUT if you also research the breakthrough, it appears to be time wasted. It did not stack, no change after completion.

AND turning off this mod and restarting without, still caps me with the exact same muted extra numbers. I can live with this, but I wish I had not wasted 2 weeks researching the breakthrough in my current game.

This is less a complaint than a friendly suggestion that your research may be wasted. YMMV

@Dnza - I think it'll only work on new games. I need to check everytrhing with the new release, but haven'r been able to just yet.

Does this only work on new games? Activated it on my current game and it didn't work/do anything. Is it current patch/expansion/DLC compatible?

I'm now back (from Honeymoon!) and have just updated almost all of my Surviving Mars Mods for you guys. This one should now be working again! If there are any issues, please let me know.
