Transparent GUI

GUI & Model Changes

Description
...a creation of The Amethyst Dragon.

Created for the players of The World of Aenea PW, I am releasing this to the general public.

This is an upgraded, informative, and transparent GUI for Neverwinter Nights. It was designed so that the game interface would not intrude as much on play of the game.

Take a look at the screen shots. Some of these images are big files, but detail is needed to really show the differnces from the original game resources.

Featured in this upgrade are:
- An informative hit point bar (that tells you at a glace how wounded you are)
- Transparent chat bar, chat windows, and quickbar
- Transparent windows for everything in the game, from character sheet to journal
- Transparent player menu buttons
- Upgraded versions of all my Hall of Fame winning Colorized Icons
- Upgraded emote icons
- Colorized domain icons
- All in-game icons (not cursors, just icons) have been upgraded to blend in.

Note: This download is as-is, and includes colorized icons for spells and other things. If you prefer to have more control over what is and is not changed, I advise downloading from the Vault instead of here, decompressing into your Documents/Neverwinter Nights/override folder, then deleting the individual files you do not want.

Also, I do not know the order Steam NWN loads overrides, so this may conflict with my other colorized icon packages.

I like this but it does more than make the windows transparent.

I have a tip for anyone who would like to use this mod and other colorized/gui mods together. This mod conflicts with quite a bit of the colorized mods, but there is an easy fix.

Download the CaGUI mods you want, then go to "D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\704450" to find all of the downloaded files. Put them in "C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Neverwinter Nights\override", or wherever your override folder is located.

But how do you get all of this to work with transparent GUI, using the icons you want without having to take the ones that this mod changes them to, you ask?

Simply install transparent GUI last. Do NOT overwrite anything. Keep all of the old files, skip the new ones from transparent GUI. When you load up your game, you should have the transparent GUI with the icon selections you made.

Hopefully this helps others who want to get all of the Amethyst Dragon mods working together via steam workshop.

it would be better with only transparent gui and the colorized icons and stuff separate like they are in workshop.

Removed a couple of PW-specific files, added note to description on how to have more control over what you see changed.

Hey, I really like the transparent elements in this mod, but don't really enjoy the extra colour it brings to various parts of the game. Also the main menu credits in there are a bit obtrusively placed. Maybe the bottom right corner would be a better spot for it or something? Although now that I think about it, you probably did mean to place that stuff out of the way, but the resolutions nowadays are probably whats causing the credits to look like they're right in the middle of the screen(lol).

Anyway, would it be possible to just keep the transparent elements here and remove the extra colour from stuff like right clicking an npc and have all the options be coloured and stuff like the skill and feat tab being coloured in your character menu, etc? Love your other stuff (scrolls and icons) by the way.
