Commodore

Description
My first wallpaper using the new sound features in wallpaper engine.

A tribute to Commodore and their awesome machines from the eighties and nineties especially the C64 and the Amiga 500. Kids nowadays may call it the dark age of mankind: no internet, no Playstations, XBoxes and whatnot, no ♥♥♥♥ing smartphones but instead: floppy disk swapping in school or via snail mail all around the world to get some new games, Burstnippler and Action Replay Cartridge, CRT Monitors and 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 " floppy disks. Good times, man.

If you´re old enough to remember any of the stuff i mentioned above you may shed a retro tear of joy while listening to the excellent remixed tune included in this wallpaper. This is for all the old schoolers who still remember the days when not everything was "plug & play".

Cheers to these crazy times...i miss it. Enjoy your wallpaper. ^^

Awesome. Turrican I and II ....oh the memories.

Sorry for being late with my answer to your question about the song. Your comment somehow went under the radar and I just saw it this morning.

The song is a remixed version of the "International Karate" title music. It's straight out of the demoscene done by someone with the Name Firestorm. The song is named "Firestorm - IK++ Remix".

Man, that is awesome. Sadly i lost mine many years ago because of a fried mainboard that i couldn´t fix back in the days. What i still have is my old Amiga 500 with the Action Replay MK II cartridge, original floppy disk drive and monitor and a shitload of games. :cozybethesda:

That beast has a turbo board installed to get lightning fast 14 MHz and that board is huge so the top of the case doesn´t fit anymore. I have good memories of the time we played Wing Commander I on the Amiga and with that board you could call that nearly a playable game. :lunar2019crylaughingpig:
