Possessing one of the best blends of skilled defense and crushing counter punching in boxing history, as well as an outsided, outspoken personality, "Lights Out" James Toney was a nightmare for Middleweight and Super Middleweight opponents.

Toney was a naturally skilled athlete with a cast iron chin, and came up through the Detroit boxing scene. Undefeated through his first 46 fights, Toney eventually took on Roy Jones Jr, losing his Super Middleweight belt to him, before moving up in weight.
