Scarab DCH

Description
Scarab DCH or Scarab Deep Core Harvester, sports 6 T2 drill modules, with big ore cargo holds, enough fuel and oxygen tanks, food fridges and a single constructor, to sustain long mining operations on any planetary surface. The current fiting is complimented with a drill turret, located beneath, in order to assist mining those troubling positioned ores.

The very first thing I thought when I saw the general design was that it could be a part of some kind of huge landing gear!!!

If you do not let it dig vertical downwards you will be fine with the current thrusters. Otherwise in case of emergency have a spare jet thruster to attach on top to get out of the rabbit's hole you got stuck. Just be inventive and you will be fine.

As for the curved block, I had the feeling that something was missing since I first saw your HV.

I forgot to mention, little things like the new curved blocks on the upper roof line added some nice detail lacking in the original. Again nice work. As in miners, for those I typically do try to make them overpowered with lots of thrust and RCS so you can power your way out out bad situations. lol. I think the HV's in general need some game code changes in how they control, especially when mining. Again, nice job!

I agree. Maybe you can try do some experimentation tests yourself. I am using it as my current mining vessel and for me it is fine and I have no plans on doing any further changes.

I think the design could do with a lot more thrust, I know it would make mining more difficult, but Its really difficult to mine in low thrust HV's

Thank you. I tried to be as loyal as I could to your design and also enrich it to compliment a miner HV type look.

Great Job! The pipe work looks good as well as the front lower arms. Nice!
