DOM Raptor (Modded)

An older model frigate from the days after the Haveners regained space flight, the Raptor is lightly shielded, but makes up for it in armament. Like many Dominion vessels it is capable of operating in a variety of enviornments, and does so easily. Often seen in pairs, it is probably the most common known design.

Armed with a single 300mm turret, most of its anti-capital firepower is forward fixed, relying on maneuverability to deal damage with two mk1 batteries mounted in the wingtips and a large cannon in the center of the bow. For anti-fighter duty four ball turrets are mounted on the top and bottom of the wings. The ship is also equipped with an ore detection system for system surveys, and when not on patrol the Raptor will be used in such a role.
