Intrepid adventurer take heed, where we head has no equal known to man on this Earth. A temple in tribute to the Tannin, a great serpent beast legends speak of as defeated by the hand of the Almighty himself and scientific research claim could never have existed. Yet of those who ventured before us who survived the rigors of the unforgiving jungle all succumbed to a madness never before seen. Scholars and soldiers alike left incapable of coherent thought and a single mindedness to protect the secrets of the very thing they set out to uncover.

Nevertheless, we will push on. Yet reaching the temple will be daunting enough on its own and will require us rafting down the dangerous rivers filled with deadly snakes and crocodiles as well as protective hippos. As if natural defenses were not enough, scouts report numerous traps lay in our wake so we must be constantly vigilant if we are to make it to the temple at all.

Once we breach the temple it is imperative we remain together to ward of any sign of delusion and madness. I will not confirm this Tannin truly exists, but if we are to succeed where others have faltered we must err on caution. If the journey must be abandoned, we can hopefully make use of the plane a previous party left behind to make a hasty retreat.

Ours is not the first expedition to attempt this perilous expedition, but I pray it shall be the last. Bring us your courage, your strength and your wisdom and let Isaiah's words echo forth, "Awake as in ancient days, in the generations of old. Are You not the arm that cut the land apart, and pierced the Tannin?"
