Influenced by several different real life places... the Luau Tiki Bar in Beverly Hills (closed in the 1970s), the "Big Sign" comes from The Luau restaurant in Fresno, CA. They closed a few years ago, and sadly the sign was ruined by the new owners (Grrr!!)...
