Built to fill Gunship's niche, "Dragon" surpasses its counterpart in terms of both firepower, mobility and resillience in battle (thanks to thinner, but hardened armour, ability to dodge enemy fire and distributed power generation).

300MW version (maximizes firepower), stock components only.

this ship has enough parts to defeat the user's CPU when testing in sandbox.

The ship has now been successfully tested at 10:1 numerical disadvantage against fleet of gunships.

Droptanks are one more source of severe lag. You can turn off auto-jettison to prevent that unless you're really pressed for delta-v.

Also, I have modified collection description to reflect the fact that I allow (and even encourage) creating and sharing customizations of my designs, as long as the originals are referenced in the description.

I really need to rebuild my custom stuff, because I have wiped most of it after the last patch (some was incompatible with changes in the ship builder, the rest was derived from non-custom ships and I didn't want to fix essentially the same designs twice - easier to rebuild them from fixed [Core] stuff).

Hopefully at some point we get separate namespaces for individual workshop files and I will have good motivation to start working - and competing - with other people's custom designs.

Now nearly everything I download is broken by something else I have downloaded and trying to work around that is PAIN.
OTOH beating anything stock or stock-like with highly optimized modules is like shooting ICBMs at a baby.

Yeah true, i tried the ship though in the sandbox without the 60mm, it still tanks my fps and my pc is no slag either. Would you like to share some of your design's with custom modules? Becase i really like the style of your non-custom ships but i want them to be usable not slideshows! :P

It's a bit harder when you're engaging at long range and it's the AI that has 60mm cannons and insists on using them right from the start (like during Vesta Overkill).

That's stock 60mm cannons for you. They have high ROF, but low velocity. If they are set to ignore range, they will inevitably murder the framerate - same as with stock Cutter in Vesta Overkill.

Nevertheless they make a good auxiliary weapons and last ditch CIWS.

Feel free to reverse-engineer ;)

It's really a good idea to try to build something good out of stock parts once in a while - stops you from growing complacent because you have 100km/s railguns and GW lasers that outrange everything and instead forces you to think about the ship itself rather than minmaxing modules.
