One of the biggest stars of the current era of boxing, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez has defined Mexican boxing for a new generation. He dominated at Light Middlweight and fought a cavelcade of top opponents to cement his legacy.

A masterful defensive boxer with excellent reflexes and deadly counter punches, Alvarez has defeated a strong list of notable foes, including Shane Mosley, Kermit Cintron, Miguel Cotto, Amir Khan and Erislandy Lara. His sole official loss came in a bout with the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr, a fight in which Alvarez was thouroughly outclassed.

Canelo's most notable fight to date, however, would have to be his Middleweight clash with Gennady Golovkin, a fight which many feel Alvarez lost, despite the split draw decision.
