Description
Stand by for another update.

I just can do this... I can't have a plane without landing gear.

I'll be adding version 2 to this model when I have it completed.

It will have landing gear with 4 animations, Idle with wheels down, in flight (gear up), gear retract, and gear deply. The landing gear isn't going to be fancy, but will be steerable and have opening and closing landing ear doors.

If I do things properly, you'll be able to zero version 2 onto version 1 without ruining any animations you might be in the middle of.

Just something I threw together while waiting for my laptop to come back from repair.

Nothing spectacular here, 2 skins, a simple cockpit, a stick and 6 droppable 500lb napalm bombs.

Lock your characters bip_pelvis and root transform and zero it into the cockpit then pose..

The plane's bip_pelvis bone can be used to eject the seat from the plane.

No rudders, ailerons or elevators, no undercarriage. Just something to "putter" the skies with.

To get rid of the unknown controls, add the following to the sfm_defaultanimationgroups.txt file

//swagputter
"Body"
{
"control" "fuse"
"control" "cockpit"
"control" "stick"
}
"Bombs"
{
"control" "Bomb_LO"
"control" "Bomb_LM"
"control" "Bomb_LI"
"control" "Bomb_RO"
"control" "Bomb_RM"
"control" "Bomb_RI"
}

This model was designed and created by me, from my own concept idea and from scratch. It is not a representation of any other model or real aircraft out there. So, you have my permission to use it however you want. (Pte Jack)

Author's Note:

I pooched up and posted this public before I added the bodygroups.

The model has now been updated so that the bombs are now individual body groups. You can now turn them on or off as you see fit, meanimg you don't have to bury them into something if you want to fly bombless, just set the bodygroups to None.

If you've started a Clip using the original upload, right click the model in the Animation Set Editor, select Utilities then Reattach to model. This should add the new bodygroups and leave your clip unaffected. Just remember to Save the clip before closing it.

damn, no references? That's pretty cool

Nope, just something that happened. No ref pictures, no thought put into it. Improv modelling.

Basis: Several possibilities, main candidates include the Mig-15 and F-86 Sabre, most likely the F-86 Sabre since the Mig-15 has a T-Tail, while this model and the F-86 Sabre do not.

If you're moving the bip_pelvis bone, that is just a bone used to be able to put a pilot into the seat area. to move the aircraft, you have to use the Fuse bone.

Hey, anytime I move it, it falls apart

Reminds me of the Lippisch P.13A and the MiG.

Believe it or not, it's just a throw together, not designed of anything.

This looks like a Focke-Wulf Ta-183
