Description
UPDATE: You may need to build a gateway after you have the tech for it to trigger

So I thought I would make this event in game that checks if the player has the Gateway Activation tech but cant travel through gateways yet, and if so, allow the player to use Gateways.

I made this mod after running in to this problem in multi player when my friend rebuild a gate and we could learn the tech but not use them, i thought this to be very wrong so fixed it with this mod.

To get the event to trigger, simply give any ship an order when you are unpaused and have the Gateway Activation Tech, you should get a window letting you know its fixed, just close that and you should be good to go!

@Phil I am glad it helped you :D It was a really annoying bug and with me and a friend, kinda game ruining in co op games

I've had the 'no gateways' thing before. In late game there are so many things that slow games down, and one is pathing issues relating to wormholes and gateways. I often set both to minimum, but not none. However even with this sometimes you get no normal gateways, only orphan and L-gates. I would be interested in something like having the prerequisite for gateway construction be either 'gateway activation' or 'L-Gate activation' to at least give a chance to build them in a galaxy with no existing gateways.

@TurtleShroom I originally made this mod when it was a problem in co-op if you weren't the one who found the gates and so others couldn't activate there own, it was an odd bug

How is it possible for a galaxy to spawn without Gateways unless you told it not to?

Is there a mod that makes you able to learn the gateway tech even if RNGesus decided to just not spawn a single gateway in your entire galaxy?

As Vibraxis asked, is this patch still needed for the latest versions of the game, or has Paradox fixed it internally? Thanks, I appreciate your work here.
