TAS Pattern FF-01 (Modless)

The first vessel designed and created after the formation of the TAS, at which time the requirments for the ships of the Alliance fleet had been barely fleshed out, was the initial guide for future vessels to come.

Utilizing a modular-like construction, the central crew section was protected by large armor pieces bolted to the top and bottom. Lightly armed, even for its time, it made up for it in regenerative support modules, which would make the few turrets it had harder to destroy by light weapons fire. Slow, in both sub-light and FTL travel, the frigate was usually used for local patrol or defense, once better ships were constructed.
