Description
There was a request for some motorway (freeway) exit signs by HayleyFan219. Didn't get there yet, but here are 13 Australian road signs that will lead you onto the freeway with directions pointing to the city and the suburbs. They come in three sizes as seen in the photos above. If you would like to modify any of these to suit your needs, I've posted a link to my setup files below. That includes the zip file for the font used in this pack which was Highway Gothic and originally downloaded from: https://www.dafont.com/highway-gothic.font

Note: The Procedural Objects Mod has just been updated to allow for fonts and there has been a release pack for European fonts. I'm planning on exploring on whether something similar can be accomplished for the Australian series.

In the interim, I also just discovered that there is a program that is used to design Australian signs here:
https://www.tmr.qld.gov.au/business-industry/Road-systems-and-engineering/Software/TraSiCAD.aspx
(30 Day free trial). I'm happy if you want to use it to provide some ideas for signs that you want to see.

Asset Stats:
Main Mesh: <50 Tris
Custom LOD Mesh: <30 Tris

Main Textures: Mostly 256x256
Custom LOD Texture: Mostly 64x64
Maps: Diffuse, specular, alpha and illumination

Note: I tried to reuse as many of the maps and textures as possible, so use the Loading Screen Mod to save on RAM!

For those interested, this is the Australia Coast HD map theme by pdelmo.

I've created these textures in Photoshop, but believe that they should open in Gimp (untested and not going to provide support if they don't open) . If you are planning on using them, just leave a quick note in the comments and if you post it on the workshop, please note me in the description.

@m.wiltsche, If you have subscribed to and enabled the Procedural Objects mod, you should be able to select the sign you wish to use and click the Convert to PO button. From there, you move the sign to where you want to place it on the road (once it's placed, the object will have a + button). If you wish to further edit the sign, click the + button -- you can then do other things such as editing the sign's height and width and adding text with any PO fonts you subscribed to.

Hey mate nice work, but as I'm new to the game I don't know how to place over a road? It's always telling me that the spot is already used and just disappears. Is there anything I've to change in configuration? Cheers

@Plaxci, Possibly to probably never. I am a lot busier than I was in early 2018 when I was regularly publishing assets. I am slowly working on a couple of CS assets, but they aren't signs.

When is the procedural objects version coming? I see you've made provision for it.

The signs arent showing up in the Props section - What are the other mods needed to make sure it works?

@Hayley, I'll add it to the list. My current roadmap for signs is Freeway Exits, Freeway Signs, General Road Signs, Toll Roads, Traffic Lights. Lights could get moved up if I need a change of pace. These signs are also being interspersed between buildings, should get a train station up by the weekend. Somewhere in here, I'm going to explore on making a set of signs that are compatible with Procedural Objects so you all have more flexibility on making unique signage for your cities.

@owangutan, Thanks. I haven't tried that mod so I am not sure off hand. I'll give it a look quick, but my effort to create a generalised version, if I do, will likely go to getting a font and a few blank gantries ready for Procedural Objects as the update now supports text.

Loving them, thanks mate. Do you know if these work with the Mark-a-route mod?

@HayleyFan219, No problem. @Acorn_Order, think I can do that :-)

Glad you like them. Working on Pack #2 which will be focused on signs found on the freeway itself. Also worked on improving the efficiency of the texture space. @themelbguy, I hear you, I moved here rather than LA partly as I thought the traffic would be better!
