Description
Era - 1990s / 2000s - Boxing - Lightweight

Known as the ultimate Blood and Guts Warrior in his time, Arturo "Thunder" Gatti proved that heart, guts and fighting spirit could propel one to become a true legend of the sport. Born in Cassino, Italy, Gatti spent years in Montreal during his youth and trained with the Canadian National boxing team. He would then move to Jersey City and turned professional.

Wins came quick for Gatti, gaining the Super Featherweight title in 1995, defending it numerous times in hard hitting fights before moving up to Lightweight. His fights with Ivan Robinson did not result in victories, nor did a fight with Oscar De La Hoya in 2001. However, the high water mark of Gatti's career was soon to come.

Another tough nosed brawler, "Irish" Micky Ward was known for his own never-say-die mantra, and together, the two engaged in a trilogy for the ages. Relentless punches, unearthly ablility to absorb damage and a trancendent will was shared between the two across three fights, the first resulting in a decision for Ward, the second seeing Gatti find the favor of the judges.

The third fight was more of the same all action bell to bell drama, but as the fight went into the tenth and final round, it was obvious that Gatti had the advantage over his retiring foe. As the final round was close to finish, Gatti, instead of safely controlling the distance, made a remarkable sporting display to come forward, allowing Ward to close out the fight and his career trading bombs in the middle of the ring.

Ward and Gotti ended up in the same hospital room after the fight, trading jokes and becoming fast friends afterwards, and Ward even cornered his old opponent in one of his later fights.

As with all my edits, full AI-Moveset-Parameters are set.
