Toned Down Towers - A tower nerf mod

Description
A simple mod that tweaks towers to have ranges a little lower than most archers, a reload speed more on par with archers and slightly reduced damage.

This was a mod request for user 'DD' - enjoy!

Well a bit of both to be honest. Rome 2s was actually a great system where they were easy to disable but hard to capture. In this case either of the two work but the real issue is just stopping the towers from collapsing and killing everyone around them. I haven't tried modding anything on here before but I feel making towers properly capturable without collapse would be the simpler fix.

While thois sounds really nice (having just lost 290 men in a siege assault, 210 of them to towers), I wonder: How easy does it make attacks? Any idea on how much lower casualties become? Right now I feel that most battles are curbstomp-affairs with only siege assaults really costing me men and making me pause to consolidate. So while I don't like the towers as they are as they seem unbelievable good, I can see their use in maintaining at least a little bit of balance.

I'm guessing it's becuase it can't be done, that's the usual reason for a mod not being done before. Either that or it's very well hidden and requires a lot of clever tweaking. I can't find anything directly relating to the behaviour of tower captures yet but who knows, it might be there somewhere!

Yea guys the towers in this game are a bit overpowered, just slightly I think...
But sidenote, I always wondered why captured towers simply collapse, they should only collapse when you burn them with fire completely. If you capture them I guess realistically that would mean you sent some men up into the tower to shoot arrows at the enemy.
I've never come across a mod for either Atilla nor Rome 2 that has this mechanic, don't know why as it's the most realistic scenario.

@Warboss, so you mean just disabling the tower? Or maybe switching it to your side? Not certain if that can be changed but I'll look into it

This sounds good. It would be great to see a mod that stops towers from collapsing when captured. I gotta say I'm not a fan of having whole units wiped by falling rocks!

Thanks Emiya. I actually have one in the works haha. I really don't know how the Warhammer one was made but I've been trying to use his snippets of code. I've not had any luck yet, except once randomly in a battle it started working. Hopefully I can figure it out
