Esteban Calavera is a ghost, who walks without a torso. He wasn't always like this - he was once a flamboyant dancer subjected to the whims of a mad alien tyrant. When Esteban tripped during a performance to please the tyrant's ego, he was sentenced to be pulled limb from limb and neck by wild horses in the middle of a stadium he performed in.

Esteban's ghost now haunts arenas and rings, and has been watching the sport of wrestling take place within it between the living. Inspired by watching centuries of spirited competition, Esteban willed himself from a mere shade sulking in the shadows into a solid existence - minus torso, of course.
