Description
Double Unit Cap is a mod that double the unit cap in space.
* 20 --> 40 for the Empire
* 25 --> 50 for the Rebellion
* 25 --> 50 for the Zann Consortium

It might also affects land unit cap in the future, and the income in custom battles.

The mod is at the moment less than 200 KB and should be all language compatible (just comment problems otherwise).

For instant use, put STEAMMOD=1384847900 in the properties of the game then start Forces of Corruption.

Does exactly what it says, and it's really fun.
20 imperial units is enough for a single strong assault on a high tier space station, but 40 allows you to have your main attack force, ships laid out to prevent flanking, and have some in reserve.

well, that does make some sense, the consortium is a bit OP, but I dont see why the consortium gets 50 when it should get 40 and the empire 50

I kept the initial cap and applied *2. Although in my opinion, Consortium is a bit OP, it's alike original balancing.

Changing lines in the XML game files are the very main way to mod this game (aside graphics).

That being said, this on the Steam Workshop gives you the freedom to use it one day, or not without altering your files (its a copy). It also work in multiplayer because it is quite popular.

If everyone does it differently, nothing will work great.
