Orion Furious Blade Gen 2 (Modded)

It's been a few days since I've last made one of these. The carrier has departed to join up with a task force which I gather is being prepared to attack their enemy. I hope it goes well for them, since I'm on one of their ships.

The second generation of Furious Blade fighters was outfitted with modernized shield tech, and featured improved vertical thrust for in-atmosphere operations. Other than that, they were not really much different. Around the time they were deployed some pilots got it into their heads that the hole left by their warhead launchers was big enough to land in, and started using that as a method of ambush. The projected shields of second generation fighters were too big for the maneuver, however, and had to be deactivated, leaving fighters relativly vulnerable until they had cleared the craters rim. Fortunatly their hull shields were still able to compensate for the most part.
