Description
In the Pennines of West Yorkshire, near Holmfirth and Huddersfield lies the little hilltop village of Hoytheroyd above the Holme Valley and lies about 300 meters above sea level, in the land famous for Last of the Summer Wine among other things, with a population of 500 people, and in the boundries of the Peak District National Park, this is popular for walkers. Nearby towns and villages include Hotherholme, Holmfirth, Meltham, Honley, Slaithwaite, Marsden and of course Huddersfield.

Some of the features of this Kirklees Village:
St Peter's Church - Once built as a Chapel of Ease to All Saints in Hotherholme, which it has a 15th century tower which is all that remains of the Medieval Church, the rest was built in 1676 in a Gothic Style, which is roughly based on St Peter's Church in Broughton in Staffordshire, which I took insperation from. Inside it still has some of its 18th century fittings, including its 3 decker pulpit and box pews, brass chandelier. It also has a 2 manual Conacher Organ that can be played and a ring of 6 bells that can be rung from up the bell tower.
The Cottage Disco - Underneath the Cottage is a secret disco, where people can secretly have fun and party, and you probably don't want to know what else goes on there. It is all set up for you, and has 3 songs that can be played -
Treehouse D'n'B Party - https://soundcloud.com/thunderbirds76-returns/treehouse-dnb-party
Tales of the Holme Valley - https://soundcloud.com/thunderbirds76-returns/tales-of-the-holme-valley

The Cottage - This is a typical Pennine Cottage, which has a nice airy interior and has been nicely redone, this was actually once a Methodist Chapel, but the Methodists now meet in the old Hoytholm Hospital Chapel, and so this is now a converted cottege. It also has a bath and some beds to sleep in.
The Village Hall - This with it's chandelier also shows how the village keeps itself in order. Events are held there, from little concerts to sales and fairs, and even charity events. It can be hired for pretty much any event.
Hoytholm Hospital Chapel - This is partially based on Linton Hospital Chapel in Linton near Grassington (which is a bit closer to home for me) and since 1973, the Methodists of the Village have been using this for worshipping. Built in 1753 in a splendid Georgian Style, this was funded by Henry Woodward Mytholm, a local man who made his fortune in shipping.
The Pub - Yes, it is a pub, go in there and have a drink, especially if you have been walking in the Pennine Country side. Watch out for the rowdy Huddersfield Town Fans, especially now that they are in the Premier League. (at the time of writing this!)
Dry Stone Walls - Typical of the area
The House - Another house that overlooks the village, and can be lived in.
A cafe and a shop - Well, yeah, the village does have some amineties, and the Cafe is also perfect for walkers and cyclists alike.

hey, can you do a more open map with farmlands and maybe a town in the middle, with a highway runing through it?
