Changed Lightning strike (High compatibility)

Description
  • I quit modding years ago, but I left this mod on the workshop because I truly believe it will not break with upgrades and it's safe to use, I still use it when I come back to the game to play a little, it never failed me.
  • Mod is highly compatible, should be ok even with every skill tree mod, even if they change Lightning strike skill themselves.
  • Savegame compatible

Skill Lightning strike in campaign (blue) tree, Skarsnik character trait and Aranessa's ship update won't give ability to attack without reinforcements anymore. Instead it gives.
  • +5% Movement speed to units in Lord's army
  • +10% Campaign movement range

This skill breaks the game design and is heavily abusable and actually kills your fun, since where was epic battle is now only 1by1 anihilation. So I changed it and competelly removed it from game. UI still might claim that it gives Lightning Strike - Skarsnik, Aranessa's ship update but they don't, it could be removed completelly from UI, but that would break amazing compatability.

I don't mod anymore and rarely play WH2, but thanks for report.

The AI that controls the Hordes who hold the Tomb Kings Books seems to still be able to use lightning strike. The "Eyes of the Jungle" faction used it against me

@Pimpin Pippin so in WH2 reinforcements always come ASAP, but you can control max 20units at once or 40 if you select large battle on campaign map. Once you have 40cards, you get reinforcements once you current units die or rout and keep in mind routing units need to leave battle map before they are replaced by reinforcements

hello guys, it's been a while I played WH2. I assume there was some rework in skill tree so the mod doesn't work? I'd like to update this mod once Beastmen reworks comes.

The mod worked without issues even when outdated for me, but I didn't play for at least 6 months.

Can you please explain how can i make the army reinforcements (second, third and fourth army) arrive very very quickly (ASAP) onto the battle map?

Seems like every single lightning strike mod that changes the skill is outdated for the latest version of the game. :(

If anyone can find an updated mod for this let me know. I hate that late game you need 3-4 full stacks to take out some Lords and letting them run around us LS non stop while you corner them and wipe out each army one by one, since they can solo kill everything is BS to the max.

I don't think the mod author plays WH2 anymore, or at least doesn't want to do anything with mods.

I think his buff is a little lame but I have long believed Lightning/Night strike should be significantly changed. Basically, it should delay reinforcements by several minutes, allowing you to go to work on an enemy quickly but not able to just cut up 14 stacks on at a time.

Thanks for the mod, although it does not seem to be working for me, that Crone is still striking only one of my three armies with two armies.
