Status Fixer

Description
Quick fix for permanent statuses like Wet.

Usage
  1. Active the mod and load your save.
  2. If a party member has a permanent status from the list below, it'll be removed automatically after loading.
  3. You'll then get a message box displaying what was removed, or that Status Fixer didn't find anything to fix.
  4. Save the game (preferrably as a new save).
  5. Go back to the main menu, then deactivate Status Fixer.

Current Statuses Fixed
  • Wet
  • Warm
  • Chilled

"Can you fix the ____ permanent status?"
Sure! Just toss me a request in the comments down below. Other statuses can easily be added to the list of permanent statuses to remove.

Q: Are you just calling "RemoveStatus"? That's too easy!
Actually, some of these permanent statuses, like Wet, are a result of a status influence not being removed on the character. Status influences keep applying the status, so long as their strength is greater than 0.

Generally these status influences are applied from environmental triggers, like rain or puddles, and are removed by a script when appropriate. Obviously, this isn't fullproof, as the permanent Wet bug has been around since early access.

What Status Fixer does is check if this status influence is active. If so, it reduces the influence until it's gone.

Huge props to the creator of this fix!

I had the issue of being stuck with the wet status permanently which I then adressed on the official DIv.2 discord.

Then this guy spend a lot of time helping me out and eventually created this fix which needed quite a bit of tinkering! So thanks and hope it helps out others too! :abs_happy:

Actually getting rid of the status involves removing the collar (and doing so normally is blocked course). So trying to just remove the status like WET won't actually work, unless you have a bug like the status persisting after the collar is removed.

Do you have the source muted status after getting the collar removed?

Source muted is a status added by the source collar specifically (in the collar data, it specifically has this value: SELF:ONEQUIP:SOURCE_MUTED). So as long as the collar is equipped, the status is applied.

can you fix source muted status or the ongoing notfication of being source muted.
