Description
A clan of devoted assassins, the Umbra switch between Order and Chaos forms to ensure they kill their mark as quickly as possible. With more than 30 new skills, switch between damage-types to stealthily assassinate your target with this adaptive new class!

"They’ll never see it coming..."

Version 1.3.1 (Read the Patch Notes here!)

The Umbra adapt to the targets weaknesses, transforming their skills between Order (physical damage) and Chaos (chaos damage) forms. Umbra assassins are some of the finest minds in Rivellon; knowing when to switch forms is crucial to utilise skill cooldowns.

As a flexible but somewhat low-range class, Umbras are best suited as the primary damage dealer within a team composition; they thrive when supported by their allies. This class may be tricky in terms of building and playstyles, so I've gone ahead and created a build guide for you all to make it a tad bit easier!

*IMPORTANT*
Whilst using the Umbra class, ensure that you have automatically add skills to toolbar enabled in the games option menu, otherwise upon switching Form all of your skills will be removed from your toolbar!

There are many skills in this class, and I'm not able to fit them all on this workshop page in the format I would like. To remedy this, I have made an online document containing all of the skill descriptions, so please click the link below to access it.

As well as having many skills which have two stances, there are 5 "Elite" skills, including Way of the Umbra, which do not have two forms, but provide useful utility for Umbras to make use of. As such, their cooldown is not reset upon using Way of the Umbra.

Ezuri the Umbral Master is an assassin who can sell the party skillbooks, as well as some daggers to keep yours up-to-date. He can be found throughout the game in various locations:
  • Fort Joy:
    • Standing next to the ladder by Fort Joy’s entrance archway.
    • At the entrance to Armadia's Sanctuary, next to the wooden platform.
  • Reaper's Coast:
    • Aboard the Lady Vengeance. He is on the top deck in the crows nest near the head of the ship.
    • Next to the stairs leading up to Meistr Sava’s house.
  • Nameless Isle: Aboard the Vengeance in the same place as Reaper's Coast.
  • Arx: In the city square, opposite the Dwarven blacksmith. Outside the Toy Shop.

There is a marked crate next to the statue on Fort Joy Beach containing all the skillbooks should you wish to try-before-you-buy. Furthermore, all of the skills are usable in Game Master mode for you to have a go with.

Also, there is now a respec mirror on the beach, next to the crate. If a party member interacts with it, they may choose to respec their character into the Umbra preset (player level will be retained but exp will be lost)! This is useful when adding Origin characters to your party and you want them to use the Umbra skills. Credit to Helaene for this feature.

WARNING!
Empty the character's inventory before using the Respec Mirror, otherwise it will be erased upon use! You can store you items in either another players bag or one of the empty containers on the beach whilst you swap over.
