New Mod Config Options for Stacked Pin Bar

Alpha Pins Sort is a lightweight mod that changes the way the Pin Bar sorts objects.
Objects are sorted within their category alphabetically by name.
You can now influence how the objects line up.

The order of object types is as follows:
1. Supply/Passenger Rockets
2. Ark Pods
2. Supply Pods
3. All Rovers (RC, Transport, Explorer, Attack, Enemy)
4. Domes
5. Buildings
6. Colonists
7. Everything else

You can bunch objects by changing their names and have them sorted in their category by name.
For example:
If you have an outpost that has an RC Rover and Two Transports.
If you name them Outpost RC Rover, Outpost Transport 1 and Outpost Transport 2 they will bunch together in the rovers category.
You can get creative and use anything for sort including prefixing the name with numbers.
The mod will sort all objects that get pinned.

I built this mod for me, due to my frustration in late game with all the pinned objects being sorted based on when you built it.
Now you can organize your Pin Bar.

How To Organize The Pin Bar
The default order is by category/by name. Everything will line up that way.
Select your object and rename it.
Objects will auto re-sort every Gametime Hour, which is almost instant in fast/faster speed, and a few seconds in normal speed.
To manually resort anytime even while paused then while selected, unpin it and repin it. This will force a re-sort.
Objects will stay in their category but be sorted by name.

Pin Bar Layout
If you have Mod Config Loaded, you can change the layout of the Pin Bar from Stacked to Wrapped. See the picture above.
Wrapped pins do not overlap each other and will continue to wrap starting from bottom up.
This mod uses the new Mod Config Reborn giving you the ability to change some parameters.

Mod Config settings are saved with each save game. New games start normal stacked.

Auto Pin Landed Rockets and Pods
Gagarin patch changed the default for landed rockets to not be pinned.
This mod returns the auto pin rockets and adds pods.
You can use mod config to change this effect.

Incompatible Mods
This mod changes the Pins Sorting Functions in the game.
Due to this the following mods that I know of are incompatible and results are unknown if they are both active.
Improved Pinned Objects Sorting

Orbital Probes
Orbital probes tend to be quirky on new game starts. They dont have a "Real" object behind them nor do they have individual names.
The probes may be out of sort order for a moment after the initial rocket lands and deploys but the probes will quickly become re-sorted in proper order once the gametime timer starts.

@SkiRich... I hope you mean to be able to select what is auto-upinned using an option in Mod Config. Personally I like the domes on the bar because I like to look down and monitor the population of each one so I can cut off births to prevent overpopulation or unemployment, but others may not be so choosey about it. The same with colonists. I like knowing when "specials" arrive, like Empaths, Celebrities, Geniuses, etc, but then I take them off the bar after making a mental note of their presence. I suppose a timer would do for things like that.

@SkiRich, awesome! i would love individual options for everything.

reason being: what i need to access quickly typically depends on the mystery for the playthrough.

for example (minor spoiler): when i get the dredger mystery, i use a whole bunch of rc rovers to remove them in the final event, so i like having them pinned. but on most other mysteries i don't care about the rovers that much...especially the transporters, since i have those on auto-gather most of the time!

so individual options would be just awesome! huge thanks for doing taking the time!

For me, Colonists, Domes, Drone Hubs. Those are things I can pick, and choose individually, anyway.:MonkeyAstronaut:

So you guys would like an option in the mod to auto unpin a few things? Not a problem, Give me a list. I would think, colonists and hubs, what else domes? If I make the change I'd rather do this once.

I also agree with the Drone Hub option idea. Sometimes less is more.:md_smile:
