The Borrasca class fleet tender is a frigate sized support ship,not equiped for direct combat. Equiped with two refineries and assemblers, hangar, extended cargo space, a landing pad and a CIC, the Borrasca can support any fleet effort with resource gathering and procesing, that is usually beyond the capacity of dedicated warships.

It is also employed as a transport ship for cutter class vessels, which excel at anti piracy operations, but have no jump drive of their own, and it can serve as a medium carrier to support its fleet. A vital link in the ASM navy, the Borrasca can be seen following combat vessels wherever they may go.
